During the 2014 Spirit of St. Louis Air Show, County Executive Charlie Dooley presented a proclamation announcing the day as Earl R. Hoffmann day for his contributions to the county.

60 years ago, Hoffmann formed Surdex Corporation, which is now one of the country’s premier geospatial services companies that employs 80 people and operates 10 aircraft out of Spirit of St. Louis airport. Surdex was Spirit Airport’s first commercial aviation tenant 50 years ago.
